The black finish has a smoky look, allowing just enough of the beautifully figured top to show through. If you're looking to shred, the Modern is the perfect guitar. The body shape and contours give you easy access and playability up and down the fingerboard. The Roasted Swamp Ash body is lightweight and adds firm lows and pleasant highs, giving almost a scooped mids sound. The Maple top give you tons of attack and adds sustain. The Aldrich bridge humbucker delivers a punchy high output tone, but things clean up a bit with the SSV in the bridge. You can also get tons of funky chimey tones from the ML Standard in the middle position. Overall, this Suhr Modern is a flexible guitar ready for whatever your next gig or session has to offer!
